Chairman of Benha National University Board of Trustees Issues New Decisions and Appointments Dr. Tamer Samir Appointed President of Benha National University

Dr. Gamal El-Said, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, issued today a number of new decisions and appointments. These included the appointment of Dr. Tamer Samir Mahmoud, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Shoubra, Benha University, as President of Benha National University, effective from September 12, 2024.

Additionally, Dr. Mohamed Said Abdel Ghaffar, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Shoubra, Benha University, has been appointed as the Director of Programs at the Faculty of Engineering at Benha National University. Dr. Ashraf Ismail El-Mashad, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, has been appointed as the Director of Programs at the Faculty of Medicine at Benha National University.

The decisions also included the appointment of Dr. Samia Mustafa El-Azb, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, as the Director of Programs at the Faculty of Dentistry, Benha National University, and the appointment of Dr. Doaa Aql Ahmed, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Benha University, as the Director of Programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Benha National University.

On the other hand, Dr. Gamal El-Said, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Gamal Sosa, Acting President of Benha National University, and Dr. Hossam Abdel Azim, Acting Director of Programs at the Faculty of Medicine, for their efforts during the past period and for their contributions to supporting the educational and student processes.

Dr. El-Said also extended his thanks to all professors and academic leaders from various Egyptian universities who expressed their interest in joining the Benha National University family. The Board of Trustees of Benha National University had announced the opening of applications for several academic positions at the university, including the position of President, Vice Presidents, and Program Directors, due to the completion of the transitional phase of establishing the university in accordance with the published rules and conditions.

A total of 34 candidates applied for the position of President, 48 for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs, 26 for the position of Vice President for International Relations, 27 for the position of Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and 90 candidates applied for the Program Director positions at the university's faculties.

It is worth mentioning that Benha National University is one of the promising national universities in the field of higher education, located in the city of Obour.
